 Series Austerity – The Shard
Hand crafted Organza Silk and Printed Ink image – A1 framed

In 2009 a building called the Shard was built near Bermondsey, close to London Bridge Station. It was around the time when Austerity measures were being put into place. This building represented the idea of growth within the city (reference to "Botanical"). Some Londoners like to call it a compass point. It can be viewed all over London, from North to South of the river.
